Don't Know How to Sew? Then Iron! Making a Hexagon Brooch
The idea came from origami, and many people
interested in patchwork use it in their work. I will tell how to make
this out of a round blank of an equilateral hexagon.
Cut out a circle. Mine had a diameter of 12 inches.
Now find the center. This circle is folded in half, smoothed and ironed in the middle.
Then two again. Again smooth.
The aim is achieved. The cross is clearly visible in the center of the fabric.
Bend the lower part of the circle to the middle. Smooth and iron.
Now choose the direction of the motion. I will move counterclockwise.
The right corner (where the arrow is) is raised to the center of the
circle, smooth.
And thus the whole item is folded, remember to well-iron it after each stage.
As a result of the complicated operations and the cost of enormous
effort, you get a perfectly flat hexagon. It is in 2 times less. It has a
side of 6 cm.
Joyful, make it a couple of fabric of a different colour.
And now, eat a chocolate to give your brain some glucose, and use your
imagination. I had special wooden buttons to sew in the centre of the
hexagons.
In principle, it is possible to leave it all so. I mixed boho, country and jeans.
Wish you good luck in your work and smooth hexagons!
