What you will need:
for outer and lining: 2 x (5”x10”) fabrics approx. 5” of red embroidery floss for mouth
2 eyes buttons
7” zipper

Note: I have modified the lining pattern after sewing mine out...I left out the tail part

1. Put both the outer and lining fabrics right sides together and trace the outline of the whale.

2. Cut them and trace the stitch line into at least one of the fabric’s wrong side.  Please note that  the lining fabrics(white blue stripes)will not be the shape of the whale with the tail.  I have cut off the tail.

3. Sandwich the zipper in the following order: lining fabric right side up, zipper right side up,  outer fabric wrong side up and sew on the top part of the zipper per picture.

4. Sew the top and bottom fabrics to the zipper.

5. Top stitch both sides to make it neater.

6. Stitch the body and leave a gap on the lining (see pattern).  Outer body right sides together and lining right sides together, pinching the zipper towards the lining.

7. Turn the whale right side out and stitch the eyes and the mouth to the right sides.

8. Slip stitch the opening then “quilt” the tail to give it more body.

9. Et Voila...You’ve got 1 happy pocket whale.
