After my post here using the awesome buttery soft leather I couldn’t help myself to make yet another leather card case. These things are so addicting to make, you could literally whip up a handful in a half hour. Plus they are just so useful. We all have a drivers license, credit cards, gym membership cards, etc that could use a pretty place to house them, no?
I used their Gold Rush leather to make this case, the golden tone is beautiful and makes for one eye-popping card case. Let me show you how I made it!
Folding Leather Card Case
One 4.25 x 8.75 inch piece of leather
Leather needle for your sewing machine
Coordinating thread
Small binder clips or large paper clips
I tell you this leather is so soft! I really love this Gold Rush style as it shows wear really well. You can see crease marks from when I was figuring out how I wanted to fold this piece of leather and I love it…it gives it such nice vintage appeal.
You will want to start with a piece of leather measuring 4.25 inches by 8.75 inches.
Next fold over each end (wrong sides facing) 1.5 inches each and clip with a binder clip. Do not use pins as it will show in the leather!
Then sew all the way around the entire rectangle of leather using a 1/4 inch seam allowance.
So easy!!!
Now you can grab your business cards…or that pile of store rewards cards and house them in this pretty little ditty.
Ahhhh, Love it!!
