A simple sewing project which recycles old banners into attractive pencil cases – carry your creative tools in an equally creative case!
Materials List
Measuring Tape/ Ruler
Marking chalk/ Ink marker
Scissors
Cutter
Nylon thread
Ruler
Used banner
Zipper – 12”
Lining cloth.
Take a rectangular piece of used banner.
Mark and cut a piece measuring 28 cm X 25 cm.
Tip – Add 4 cm to actual width and 3 cm to actual length of the pencil case.
Fold the edge of shorter side of the piece and stitch it.
Repeat this until all four sides are done.
Attach the lining material to the banner piece and stitch all around as shown.
After the sides are done, attach the zipper to one edge.
Next attach the zipper to the other edge also.
It will look as shown.
Stitch on the sides also.
Trim the edges as shown.
Invert the pencil case.
Use the sharp point of scissors to push out corners.
This will help to make the corners sharp and straight.
The pencil case is ready!
