Crochet a Hemp Yarn Headband. How to Crochet a Headband Step-by-Step Tutorial
How to crochet a lovely headband in just half an hour. The special feature here is the Rowan Hemp Tweed yarn: a mix of knitting wool and hemp. Hemp is a particularly hard-wearing vegetable fibre that holds significantly less water in cultivation than some other plants, such as cotton. In addition, hemp causes fewer problems for people with allergies, because the plant is very resilient and requires no pesticides. This strong yarn doesn't wear easily and the material is very breathable. Since the percentage of wool in this yarn is very high, it's also perfect for the colder season.

Materials
Firstly, choose your material. For my headband, I used two balls of Rowan Hemp Tweed and doubled the threads.
Making the Chain
Double the yarn and make a chain that is long enough to fit comfortably around your head. Join the final chain stitch to the first chain stitch, using a slip stitch. This will form a circle.
Half Treble
Crochet a half treble in each stitch of the round, and then either close the round with a slip stitch followed by a new round with a chain stitch, or simply crochet continuously in rounds.
Width
Continue to crochet in rounds until you reach your desired width. Making a wider headband will keep you really warm during the cold weather!
