Material: Oilcloth or coated cotton Insulated bags from the supermarket Velcro tape Stylefix Decoration according to taste

From the oilcloth you need a rectangular piece. For a large lunch bag I take 30x50cm. I cut the cooling bag to the same size. Only the silver foil is used, the rest can be disposed of. Two pieces with the same dimensions are needed in each case. In addition, you still need Velcro tape, half length plus 3 cm. In the case of the example dimensions, this is 28 cm.

And off you go:

“Embroider” the front side according to your own wishes.

With appliqués, woven ribbons, braid,
patches; whatever you can think of.

I opted for appliqués in the lower section.

Place one piece of oilcloth and one piece of silver foil
right sides together and stitch them together on the upper long
stitch together on the upper long side.

Do the same with the other
wax cloth + silver foil in the same way.

Unfold the layers to create a long strip.

Lay the long sides on top of each other to mark the center (it is sufficient to smooth the edge, a center line will then remain visible).

Fix the Velcro tape with Stylefix. The Velcro tape should also lie about 3 cm on the silver foil.

Sew the Velcro tape in place.
Do the same with the second part and sew on the Velcro counterpart.

Now place both layers right sides together on top of each other.

Make absolutely sure that the center line between the silver foil and the the oilcloth lie exactly on top of each other.

The Velcro tape secures the two parts quite well.

To be on the safe side, I sew the area of the center line on the left
and right together.

Then topstitch all the way around.
Leave a turning opening at the side of the silver foil. This should be large enough so that you can easily put an arm through it.

Turn the bag inside out and close the opening.

Topstitch the top edge edge-to-edge from the outside.

Done already!
