Triangle Pencil Case Tutorial

How to make Triangle Zipper Pouch.  Triangle Pencil Case Pattern and Tutorial. Triangle thingy... There are many names for it... Case, Pencil Case, Pencil Pouch, and shapes too... round, square etc.

You need:

2 Fabric strips, approx. 12 x 50 cm (of course, other measurements are also possible...) optionally iron-on fleece for reinforcement in the same size approx. 50cm zipper (by the meter) 1 Slider 2 Pieces of woven tape

Iron on non-woven fabric. (I used H 180 so that the finished case has a firmer stand).

Zipper parts. For the case you only need one half of the zipper. So it's best to do two at once; DD

Mark the middle of the outer fabric (to do this, just put the short sides on top of each other and fold, the middle is already marked). Fold the weaving ribbon and hang up. The closed side of the woven ribbon points downwards towards the outer fabric.

Hang up the zipper. On both sides, the zipper should protrude about 5cm. The teeth should be pointed in the direction of Outer fabric loungers and down.

Now put the lining fabric on top. So that the right sides of the fabrics are on top of each other and the zipper in the middle is. Stuck.

With the zipper foot sew on the zipper. Remove the pins gradually.

Turn and iron the fabrics. Stitch along the outside of the zipper with a sharp edge.

Bevel one side of the zipper. Move the slider with the rounding to the "straight side" of the zipper (here on the left, the non-beveled side...) push. Then thread the other side, hold the upper ends of the zipper (the fabric parts) and pull the zipper. It takes a little patience, but it works... Make sure that the zipper is straight (push it to the end once, it must then arrive at the webbing...).

Close the zipper. Now "separate" the outer fabric and the lining fabric and put each on top of the other. Stitching the long sides (see line), leave a turning opening in the lining fabric. The short sides remain open; otherwise you will sew a classic case in the shape of a bag.

We continue on the open edge. There, put a piece of webbing on the zipper. To do this, fold the weaving ribbon in the middle and pin it with the closed side inward. Sew tight.

Half open the zipper!!! Place the seams of the long side in the middle of the zipper. Stuck.

Sew up the short side. A few times about sew the zipper. Turn through the turning opening. Close the turning opening by hand or by machine.
