Materials required: 



 

- One 40 x 26 cm piece for the outside.
- One 40 x 26 cm piece for the lining.
- One 40 x 26 cm piece of wadding for the tri-lining.
- One 40 x 36 cm piece for interior storage.
- 1 button to close the notebook.
- 18 cm of cord.
- Decorative ribbons if you feel like it!
- And matching thread (well, I'm just saying...  but I think it's prettier ;-)).

Step by step :  
 
1 - Cut out the 4 pattern pieces (or 5 if you add the batting).

(TIP: for cleaner work, feel free to trace your outlines with an erasable thermo-pencil, A little ironing will remove all pen marks! Magic, isn't it! You'll find You'll find them in any supermarket!)

2- Pin then sew together (5 mm from edge) pieces 2 (lining) and 3 (wadding). 

3- Fold piece 4 in half to obtain a 40 x 18 cm piece. Iron then topstitch the folded part with a matching thread about 3 mm from the edge. 

 
4- Place this piece 4 on the set you sewed earlier. Pin then stitch (5 mm from the edge) on the sides and bottom of the storage part so that sewn together. 

5- Locate the middle of your 2/3/4 set (you can draw a reference line with your magic with your magic pencil!), then sew from the top of the storage area to the to the bottom. This will give you the pocket on the right where your ½ A4 sheets.
 
6- All that's left is to sew the seams that will allow you to store each of your pencils on the left side (or the right side). pencils on the left-hand side (or right-hand side for a less “puffy” effect once the closed). To do this, again using a magic pencil, draw parallel vertical lines
from the middle of your notebook to the left (or right, as you prefer) edge. depending on your choice). Each seam should be 1.8 cm apart (please be precise!). 

Then sew (for better compartment solidity, don't hesitate to finish with 2 or 3 back-and-forth stitches). You'll need to sew 9 seams (the 10 visible on the photo is the middle one, made in the previous step). Iron (without insisting, so as not to burn the wadding), so that your pencil marks disappear.
 
7- Using a container (such as a lid) about 5 cm in diameter, round off the 4 corners of this set.

8- On the middle of the left-hand side of the piece, sew (5 mm from the edge) your cord, previously folded in half. folded in half. Go back and forth several times to keep it firmly attached. attached.
 
9- Sew your decorative ribbons to the bottom right (5 mm from the edge), then your button to the middle of the right side right side, 7 cm from the edge (feel free to mark with a pencil).
