Make your own Case for your Glasses. Beginner Friendly Glasses Case Tutorial.
We need:
A rectangle of 11 x 32 cm in the outer fabric
A rectangle of 11 x 32 cm of wadding
Two 11 x 17 cm rectangles of the inner fabric
Two rectangles of 11 x 7 cm of the outer canvas
One 9 cm strapping nozzle
The first thing we will do is to hem the two narrow parts of the small rectangles. They should be 9 cm wide, the same size as the nozzle.
We put together the large rectangle of the outerwear and the wadding one. We fold in half, right against right, lengthwise and sew the two sides to 1 cm. We trim the seam as much as we can. We face the rights of the underwear pieces and sew the two long sides and one of the narrow ones leaving a small opening. This will serve to then be able to turn it.
Fold in half and iron the small pieces.
We put them inside the cover as shown in the picture and hold them with pins, each one on one side of the cover.
We turn the lining and put it inside the cover, right side up. Stitch all around the opening.
We turn the whole cover over, using the opening we left before. Sew the opening by hand with a hidden stitch.
We put the strap nozzle. When you buy it, it is open on one side to be able to pass it. Once the two straps have passed, we put the nail that it carries and we give it a hammer blow to fix it.
And that's it, we have our case ready to use. It's easier than it looks and this type of closure is very convenient, both for eyeglasses cases and for purses, etc.
